Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU License: Current state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with patient ratios - Proficient in Epic charting system - Travel experience preferred Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our ICU unit. This position involves caring for critically ill patients. The nurse will manage complex medical needs and work with interdisciplinary teams. The role requires experience in arterial line management, ventilator management, and care of ventilated patients. Duties include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing bedside procedures. The nurse will also assist with chest tube insertion and removal. A strong understanding of infection prevention and isolation precautions is necessary. The position requires flexibility to float to other ICUs and related units as needed. Weekend coverage is anticipated. Candidates must be able to interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients with multi-system organ dysfunction. All interested candidates should be prepared for a rigorous clinical environment.
