Job Overview A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to support its family law practice in Greenville, SC. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a Senior Attorney, developing substantive legal skills and gaining hands-on experience in complex domestic matters. The ideal candidate is eager to expand their legal knowledge, values mentorship, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Duties Support the Senior Attorney in managing family law cases from inception through resolution. Conduct legal research and analysis using various legal databases. Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel professionally. Assist in case strategy development and preparation for hearings, mediations, and trials. Maintain organized and accurate case files. Uphold firm standards for client service, responsiveness, and professionalism. Requirements Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active South Carolina Bar License (or pending licensure for recent graduates). Minimum of one year of family law experience required. Strong understanding of legal principles, procedures, and practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to conduct thorough legal research. Experience with legal drafting and document preparation. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Collaborative mindset with a commitment to team success. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Active South Carolina Bar License (or pending licensure for recent graduates). Skills Effective communication and client service. Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
