Clerical Support Professional
The Pennsylvania State Employees' Retirement System (SERS) is seeking a highly motivated clerical support professional to join our staff. This position is located in the Records Management Unit of the Membership Services Division and provides clerical and office support within the division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. The position sorts incoming mail and prepares the mailed documents for subsequent scanning and indexing within the agency Document and Workflow Process Management system (DAWPM). The position also reviews requests for purchase of service, determines member eligibility, and updates beneficiary data for a variety of records. It further processes multiple service requests requiring contact with current members and other state agencies. In addition, the position is responsible for prepping, indexing, and scanning documentation into an orderly fashion into the DAWPM system.

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week. Work schedule will begin and end between 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 30 PM. Telework : You may have the opportunity to work from home part-time, up to three days per week, depending on operational needs and progress in learning assigned tasks. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements : One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or one year of moderately complex clerical experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
