Work Environment

The role is primarily onsite, allowing for a significant connection between the therapist and patients in their own environments. The home care aspect of the practice means that each day brings unique challenges and the satisfaction of helping patients regain independence in their own homes. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday with flexible scheduling options of either 9 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM, ensuring a work-life balance for our therapists.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to develop individualized treatment plans that address their specific orthopedic needs.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, including both active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, and functional training aimed at enhancing everyday activities.
• Educate patients and family members on best practices for care, rehabilitation protocols, and self-management techniques to maintain progress.
• Utilize a variety of treatment methods such as manipulation, stretching, and massage to address mobility and pain issues.
• Document patient progress meticulously in electronic health records, ensuring that all treatment plans and outcomes meet established standards.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and to discuss patient progress during team meetings.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role involves working predominantly with individuals requiring orthopedic rehabilitation following surgeries, injuries, or debilitating conditions. Your expertise will be invaluable in treating complications arising from joint replacements, fractures, and chronic pain syndromes, with a strong focus on restoring functionality and independence to patients.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Must possess an active Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of 1 years of experience as a practicing physical therapist, specifically in orthopedic care.
• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and connect with patients of all ages.
• Strong clinical assessment abilities and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in developing and conducting group therapy sessions for patients in a home care setting.
• Familiarity with modern physical therapy modalities and technologies, including ultrasound therapy and electrical stimulation.
• Background in patient education techniques and family involvement strategies in rehabilitation processes.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skills.
