Server JobThe Server is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. The Server is also responsible for receiving and delivering guests orders and collecting payment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employeesBe familiar with the organization of the Restaurants and Lounges as well as service areas such as Room Service and Poolside ServiceKnow the function of each job position in the outlet(s)Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in all applicable outletsService guests following all food and beverage requirements and LQA StandardsMaintain an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner in all aspectsBe familiar with the operation of the Micros POS SystemPerform cashiering functions by closing checks and preparing end of shift paperworkPerform opening and closing procedures and side-work duties according to assignment and established checklistEnsure that tables and side stands are kept stocked, tidy and cleanAnswer the telephone according to standardsConsistently upsell food, beverage and promotional items to guestsReceive and deliver food and beverage orders and collect paymentFollow all responsible alcohol practices. Card all guests who appear under the age of 40 and never serve alcohol to an intoxicated guestFollow all Health Department standardsFollow all departmental and CHRM policies and proceduresNotify management to any pertinent information each shiftClock in and out for each shift. Notify a manager if you are unable to do soPerform medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objectsPerform any additional duties as assigned by the F&B MOD or other Property MODsQualifications/Requirements:Must be at least 18 years of age.Must have previous food and beverage experience; serving experience preferred.TIPS and/or Serv Safe certification(s) are a plus.Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work holidays.Must be able to maneuver throughout the dining area while carrying full trays of food & beverages.Ability to stand during entire shift.Ability to communicate in English.Ability to complete basic mathematical calculations.A minimum of 6 months of Server or customer service experience preferred.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
