  • Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions with a focus on fostering open communication, trust, and growth among participants.
  • Monitoring clients' progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary based on their evolving needs and outcomes.
  • Collaborating effectively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create synchronized treatment pathways.
  • Following up on client referrals, providing necessary communication and advocacy to enhance continuity of care.
  • Identifying potential barriers to recovery and proactively addressing them through education and support for clients and their families.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a varied demographic, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a wide range of mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Your interventions will be critical in addressing these diverse issues, helping clients to build resilience and coping strategies while overcoming their unique hurdles.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Successful completion of examinations such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage client information effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a healthcare setting.

Preferred Experience

  • A minimum of two years of experience as a mental health counselor in an outpatient setting is strongly preferred.
