Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments for clients to identify their concerns, strengths, and treatment needs, ensuring personalized care from the start.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness strategies tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.
• Collaborate with other practitioners within the community health clinic to create coordinated treatment plans, ensuring comprehensive support throughout the therapeutic journey.
• Provide crisis intervention support to clients experiencing acute emotional distress, utilizing established protocols to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records using our secure electronic medical records system, adhering to ethical and legal standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training to remain current on the latest mental health research and therapeutic approaches.
• Contribute insights and ideas toward program development initiatives, aiming to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
• Foster a culturally competent care environment, demonstrating an understanding of and sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds of clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse clientele facing a wide range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive states, trauma recovery, and relationship challenges. Our clients are individuals seeking support to improve their mental wellness and achieve personal growth. You will have the chance to make meaningful change in their lives while developing rapport and understanding in a supportive therapeutic setting.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or higher in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, or LMHC in the state of New York.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build quick rapport and trust with clients from varying backgrounds.
• Commitment to providing inclusive and affirming care that recognizes and respects cultural diversity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary for effective collaboration with colleagues and client interactions.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience providing counseling services in a clinical setting, working with individuals, couples, and families.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
