RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Automotive Technician at Royal Oak Ford, you will:
- Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards
- Diagnose, maintain and repair automotive systems
- Perform drivability and powertrain diagnosis and repairs
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems
- Service steering and suspension systems
- Perform brake repairs
- Diagnose and repair heating and air-conditioning systems
- Perform alignments and other mechanical repairs
- Test-drive vehicles as necessary
- Use diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to ensure safety and performance standards are met
- Accurately document completed repairs and recommended services
QUALIFICATIONS
We're looking for technicians who have:
- Michigan State Automotive Technician Certification
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician / Mechanic
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver's license
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ASE Certification is a plus, but not required.
Ford experience is a plus, but qualified technicians from other manufacturers and independent repair facilities are encouraged to apply.
