Senior Account Manager - Service

A leading public company is seeking a Senior Manager, Segment Accounting to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting for a major business segment. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting leader who thrives in complex environments, enjoys solving challenging problems, and has a track record of strengthening controls, improving close processes, and developing high-performing teams. You'll serve as the accounting leader for the segment, partnering with finance, operations, audit, and executive leadership to ensure accurate reporting, drive process improvements, and create a sustainable control environment. Ensure accurate, GAAP-compliant financial results and reporting ✅ Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses ✅ Drive remediation efforts for internal control and process improvement initiatives ✅ Partner with Internal Audit, SOX, Corporate Accounting, FP&A, and external auditors ✅ Support SEC reporting requirements, including 10-Q and 10-K deliverables ✅ Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting managers and senior accountants Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance ~ 8+ years of progressive accounting experience ~ Public company accounting experience ~ Experience leading teams through periods of transformation and change ~ Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional partnership skills Big 4 or national public accounting background Segment Controller or business unit accounting leadership experience Exposure to Oracle ERP, FCCS, ARCS, or other financial reporting systems This is a highly visible leadership position where you'll have the opportunity to influence business decisions, strengthen critical accounting processes, develop talent, and help shape the future of a growing organization.
