Hourly Base Rate: $40.08 - $47.89 Shift: SEIU Local 49 represented position Date Posted: 09/14/2026 Job Summary: Collaboration with the surgeon and surgical team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Must acquire the necessary knowledge, judgement, and skills specific to the expanded role of Scrub Tech First Assistant Must use aseptic practice and be able to provide equipment and supplies based on patient and surgeon needs. Intraoperatively, the Surgical Tech First Assist practices at the direction of the surgeon. Qualifications: Current certification by the NBSTA, JCAHPO or NCCT as a Surgical Technologist. Education completed at a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited education program. Military qualification as a Surgical Technologist may be substituted for CST certification with 16 hours of continuing education every two years. Must maintain certifications throughout duration of employment Current certification as a Surgical Tech First Assist from an accredited institution. BLS required, ACLS required within 6 months of hire. Prefer at least two years' experience as a Surgical Scrub Tech First Assist. Competitive salary and benefits package.
