Position Summary:\n

\nAs part of the Ob Hospitalist clinical team, an Ob Hospitalist embraces delivering a quality OB Hospitalist program.\n

\n

Position Responsibilities:\n

\n
• Deliver obstetrical and gynecological care to patients including but not limited to providing contraceptive services (at hospitals that provide contraceptive services)
\n
• Deliver direct patient care to high-risk patients including situations where Maternal Fetal Medicine support may only be available by telephone or video consultation
\n
• Participate daily in Labor and Delivery board rounds
\n
• Serve as the 'Safety Officer' on Labor and Delivery to ensure that all patients, regardless of their primary admitting clinician, have the safest possible outcomes
\n
• Support community physicians and midwives through clinical assistance as requested including practice coverage as requested and as safely available
\n

Shifts:\n

\n
• 24-hour shifts (majority)
\n
• Some 12-hour or mixed-shift models
\n
• Full-time clinicians typically work 5–9 (24-hr) shifts per 28-day block
\n

• Clinicians are eligible for coverage with a shift commitment of 5 shifts per 28-day block

Requirements:\n

\n
• Board Certified or Active Candidate Ob/Gyn Physician
\n
• Licensed to practice medicine in the state of assigned site
\n
• Highly relational, able to build strong rapport and positive working relationships with all stakeholders (Hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and OBHG corporate staff)
\n
• Significant experience with obstetrical emergency care (preferred)
\n
