Senior Portfolio Manager
Working under the direction and guidelines established by the Chief Investment Officer-WMG, the Senior Portfolio Manager is primarily responsible for maintaining client relationships, managing client investment portfolios, and contributing to development of new business. The Senior Portfolio Manager will represent the WMG and the Bank within their respective market. The Senior Portfolio Manager is a contributing member of the Trust Investment Committee, performing investment research and making recommendations for use with managed investment portfolios.
Accountabilities :
- Performs research and analysis on equity, fixed income and mutual fund securities utilizing fundamental, technical and quantitative data. Oversees dissemination of pertinent reports and information on current and prospective investments to investment management team.
- Presents recommendations on new and existing investments to Investment Committee for review and approval.
- Manages client portfolios (personal or institutional) within department or client investment policy guidelines and established investment objectives, including :
- Establishing an investment policy statement
- Purchasing approved securities to meet client goals and objectives
- Reviewing portfolios to ensure they comply with department policy and client objectives
- Meeting with clients to review current portfolio, strategy, performance, etc.
- Contributes to development of department investment communications for use with clients, prospects, portfolio managers, other Bank departments and Bank management.
- Works with account administrators and support staff to answer client inquiries, respond to client requests, initiates proactive customer and new business prospect communications, and otherwise deliver outstanding client service.
- Assists as needed in placing securities trades, including communications with approved broker / dealers and processing trade executions.
- Assists in ensuring that the Bank is in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
- Contributes to business development efforts and supports business development staff by participating in meetings with prospective clients, referral sources and other centers of influence.
- Fosters collaborative relationships with other business lines serving as a resource representing our group.
- Represents the Wealth Management Group and the Bank within the marketplace.

Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience required, with a degree in business or finance preferred.Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or candidate preferred.Strong understanding of the economy, financial markets and investments.10+ years of investment management experience.Strong interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written) essential.Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-task environment with limited supervision.Physical Demands / Conditions Requirements :
General office environment. Moderate lifting (to 35 lbs.) required. Moderate reaching, walking, sitting and standing required.
