  • Job Summary :

  • In your role as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM), you will be responsible for overseeing and executing a variety of surveying projects.
  • You will play a pivotal role in upholding our commitment to excellence, fostering innovation, and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and customer service.
  • Key Responsibilities Project Oversight :

  • Manage and execute surveying projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with state statutes and company standards.
  • Survey Execution :

  • Conduct and oversee field surveys, including boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys, utilizing GPS, Total Station, and other advanced equipment.
  • Data Analysis and Mapping :

  • Analyze survey data to prepare detailed maps and reports using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant software.
  • Quality Assurance :

  • Review and certify the accuracy of survey documents, ensuring all deliverables meet legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Collaboration :

  • Collaborate with field crews, CAD technicians, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Client Communication :

  • Liaise with clients to understand project requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns or questions.
  • Regulatory Compliance :

  • Stay informed about changes in surveying laws and regulations to ensure all practices remain compliant.
  • Mentorship :

  • Provide guidance and training to junior staff, fostering professional growth and maintaining high performance standards.
  • Qualifications Licensure :

  • Active Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) license in the State of Florida, in accordance with Chapter 472 of the Florida Statutes.
  • Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in surveying and mapping, geomatics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Candidates with degrees in other fields must have completed at least 25 semester hours in surveying-related coursework as specified by Florida Statute 472.013 .
  • Experience :

  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive surveying experience under the supervision of a licensed PSM, demonstrating responsible charge over surveying tasks.
  • Technical Proficiency :

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GPS, Total Station, and other surveying equipment and software.
  • Knowledge :

  • Comprehensive understanding of land surveying principles, legal descriptions, and Florida surveying laws and regulations.
  • Communication Skills :

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to clients and team members.
  • Organizational Skills :

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Leadership :

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor junior staff, and foster a collaborative work environment Compensation and Benefits : Compensation : Salary range of $90,000 – $110,000 per year, depending on experience (DOE) After 60 days : Medical, Vision, Dental, and Company-paid basic life insurance.
