McLean's multidisciplinary programs treat a broad range of psychiatric illnesses across the full continuum of care. The Specialized Clinical Educator will support clinical staff in the implementation of curriculum instruction and in maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
They will demonstrate a commitment to the program and a willingness to remain flexible. The Specialized Clinical Educator will maintain a commitment to professional growth and competency to exhibit positive behavior towards clients, parents, and staff.
They will model appropriate social cues and milieu / group participation and facilitate clients to do the same. In addition, they will perform supervisory and technical duties as assigned and be responsive to issues presented in supervision.
- Oversee implementation of academic work and behavior cueing within the milieu
- Observe behaviors and make necessary interventions in order to maintain the safety of all clients and staff
- Attend weekly staff meetings
- Provide milieu supervision
- Report any client incidents / concerns to Program Director, Clinical Director and / or the Milieu Manager
- Interact with clients and family members in a courteous and professional manner
- On-site skills coaching to dealt with Suicidality Self-injury Emotional Dysregulation
- Group coverage for up to 10 residents
- After 90 days will be eligible for intensive training in DBT / CBT

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree; significant experience working with emotionally / behaviorally disturbed adults preferred
- Interface with patients
- Learn DBT / CBT / MBT skills and basic treatment concepts

- The ability to work with multi-disciplinary staff and exhibit positive teamwork
- Continue to learn and apply current treatments
