Job Summary
We have openings at both of our locations(Newton and Brookline)
This Teacher Assistant will be responsible for :
- Assisting classroom teachers in the care, health, welfare and safety of children 12 weeks - 5 years of age in a group setting.
- Working with a team of teachers, to provide a caring environment where children are safe and secure.
- Cleaning / disinfecting toys per DEEC regulations.
- Setting up afternoon activities / learning centers and engage in play.
- Preparing / serving snack.
- Restocking classroom areas as requested.
- Participating in group / story / circle time.
- Assisting classroom teacher with closing of the classroom each day.
To qualify, you must have :
- At least 18 years of age.
- The ability to exchange information on factual matters, greet visitors, explain hospital policies, and / or relay messages to appropriate personnel.
- Courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors and / or hospital employees. More sensitive situations may be referred to others as appropriate.
Shift / Hours :
- Part time -15 / hours per week.
- Shift / hours : 2 : 30pm - 6 : 00pm.
