Job Summary :

The Arizona Department of Public Safety is seeking a motivated professional for our Data Network Telecommunications Technician position. This role involves assisting the information management bureau in installation and maintenance activities, determining workloads, establishing priorities, performing network communication cabling work, assigning technicians, and ensuring project and maintenance work is completed on time. The technician installs and maintains various electronic communication and phone systems and performs related tasks as required.

Additional Information :

  • This recruitment will establish an 18-month eligibility list to fill current and future vacancies.
  • Minimum Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, successful completion of a formal electronics technology program, or three years of relevant experience.
  • Must possess a valid Arizona driver license.
  • Work involves working in enclosed and tight spaces such as manholes, vaults, under buildings, ceilings, etc.
  • Progression to the next step requires an overall performance rating of at least "Standard" in the last 12 months.
  • Applicants must complete an examination process, including a polygraph and background investigation. Pre-employment drug testing is required.
  • If driving is an essential function, a valid drivers license is required. All new employees must complete E-Verify.
