Treasury Management Direct Team Leader

The Treasury Management Direct Team Leader is responsible for leading and coaching a team of Treasury Management Direct Advisors.

The team leader achieves their individual production targets and serves as a player-coach. The team leader proactively manages their teams pipeline, prepares weekly sales plans, facilitates bi-weekly Treasury Management calls and participates on joint calls with their Treasury Management Direct Advisor's within their assigned regions.

The team leader supports the strategic direction for Treasury Management. The team leader consistently connects with regional leaders and works with the leadership team to ensure a high level of awareness of the Treasury Management solutions value to Northwest bank business customers.

This position provides monthly coaching to the the Treasury Management Direct Advisors on sales presentations, product knowledge, and leading an effective cash flow conversation.

The team leader role coaches Treasury Management Direct Advisors to achieve assigned goals and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions

  • Direct Treasury Management Advisors in the execution of strategic plans
  • Develops calling plans and activities with branch partners
  • Represent Northwest with major clients, industry associations, and other key centers of influence within the community
  • Partner with all business lines to ensure full line of services and products are available to customers and that staff are educated on them
  • Influence and enrich the sales process through industry trend analysis, product innovations, and consultative relationship reviews
  • Partner / cultivate relationships regional leaders
  • Assist Head of Treasury Management with strategic initiatives
  • Lead Treasury Management Direct Advisors to meet goals and expectations
  • Create meaningful partnerships with market leaders and educate on the value of TM to business customers
  • Provide bi-weekly updates to market leadership on success stores, production and pipeline.
  • Provide weekly updates to Head of Treasury Management on production, and any other projects
  • Co-Plan and co-develop strategic initiatives with regional leadership
  • Train branch partners on products and services, including best practices and how to identify and refer.
  • Produce quality business proposals as needed
  • Produce quality Power Point presentations as needed
  • Analyze Northwest and competition’s statements for comparisons
  • Analyze / prepare target balance calculations
  • Analyze / prepare Earning Credit Ratio calculations on analysis accounts
  • Understand business cash flow cycle
  • Coach team and conduct virtual presentations and meetings
  • Follow sales goals and directives
  • Collaborate with regional team
  • Identify client’s needs and make appropriate TM recommendations
  • Coordinate sales efforts with other departments
  • Deepen relationships and refer to other business partners
  • Conduct annual relationship reviews when appropriate and coach TMDA's on their annual relationship reviews and provide guidance on pricing.
  • Maintain client data in CRM system- including joint client calls

Additional Essential Functions

  • Ensure compliance with Northwest’s policies and procedures, and Federal / State regulations
  • Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency
  • Work as part of a team
  • Work with on-site equipment

Additional Responsibilities

Complete other duties and special projects as assigned by management

Education

Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance, or related experience

Work Experience

8 - 12 years Banking with an emphasis on Treasury Management And

6 - 8 years Managerial within Banking And

6 - 8 years Lending and Banking And

5 - 6 years Customer Service / Sales And

5 - 6 years Managing Sales Goals

Knowledge of Treasury Management solutions -Remote Deposit Capture, ACH, Account Reconciliation, Positive Pay, Purchasing Cards, Lockbox, Integrated Payable / Receivables, Vault Services, Information reporting and ESCROW Management

Knowledge of account analysis products

Knowledge of non-personal Checking Products, including Municipal, Sweep and specialty accounts

Knowledge of Merchant Services

Knowledge of Business / Debit / Credit Cards
