KVC is seeking to employ an Accounts Payable Supervisor with a hybrid schedule, comprising 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.
Minimal travel is necessary to collaborate with other AP team members stationed in St. James, MO, Olathe, KS, and St. Louis, MO.
POSITION SUMMARY :
The accounts payable supervisor manages all activities in the accounts payable function to ensure all invoices and vouchers are properly coded, vendors paid timely and maintain accurate records and controls.

SCHEDULE :

EXPERIENCE :
Required two years of experience in an accounts payable / accounting role, preferably including one year in a supervisory role.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS :
- 3+ years of supervisory experience.
- 5 years of professional experience working in the field
- Experience working with children and families in a trauma informed environment
EDUCATION :
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A.)
- Or 4 to 5 years related experience and / or training
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid auto insurance
- Must be 21 years of age
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Oversee accounts payable operations including invoice processing, vendor payments, and record-keeping.
- Handle payment approvals, vendor inquiries, and maintain vendor data.
- Manage unclaimed property, vendor setup, and credit applications.
- Ensure compliance with milestones and goals and collaborate on process improvements.
- Assist with audits and supervise AP staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Must demonstrate independence, teamwork, attention to detail, and proficiency in software tools like Excel and Word.
