Job Details :

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Labor and Employment Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will handle a variety of labor and employment matters, including employment litigation, labor disputes, and compliance with state and federal employment laws.

This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment where your contributions will have a direct impact on our company's operations and success.

Responsibilities :

As a Labor and Employment Attorney, you will be responsible for :

1. Representing our company in employment litigation matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, and wage and hour disputes.

2. Providing legal advice and guidance on labor and employment issues to ensure compliance with California and federal laws.

3. Developing and implementing employment policies and procedures to minimize legal risk.

4. Conducting thorough investigations into employee complaints and disputes.

5. Negotiating and drafting employment contracts, separation agreements, and other employment-related documents.

6. Providing training to management and employees on employment law issues.

7. Staying current on developments in employment law and advising management on changes that may impact our company.

Qualifications :

To be considered for the Labor and Employment Attorney position, you must have :

1. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

2. Admission to the California State Bar.

3. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Labor and Employment Attorney, with a focus on California Employment Law.

4. Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including wage and hour laws, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

5. Proven litigation experience, with a strong track record of success in employment law cases.

6. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound legal judgments.

8. High ethical standards and professional integrity.

9. The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

10. Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
