What We Need
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager (PM) to join our team in Utah.
This pivotal role requires expertise in preconstruction, estimating, scheduling, and execution across a variety of project types. The PM will lead, direct and oversee effective daily operation of the HVAC temperature controls construction arena.
The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of HVAC controls, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. They will be responsible for leading the preconstruction process in all types of design-build, design-bid-build, and hard bid engagements, establish project objectives for preconstruction phase, maintain liaison with prime and / or subcontractor clients, and monitor design progress and project budget. Act as needed to ensure project goals, objectives and initiatives are met in alignment with the company's mission and customer expectations.
As a strategic leader, you will guide internal teams and collaborate with owners, designers, and subcontractors to ensure design intent, budget alignment, and performance expectations are met.
What You'll Do
- Lead preconstruction planning for all project types, ensuring cost, design, and scheduling align with performance goals.
- Manage all estimating and cost-control functions including take-offs, bid solicitation, and final proposal development.
- Develop and maintain accurate project schedules in project management software, coordinating closely with field teams on design phases, procurement, and execution timelines.
- Provide technical guidance and value engineering recommendations across mechanical, electrical, and general scopes.
- Oversee and support the construction team throughout project lifecycles, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget goals are achieved.
- Direct and supervise technicians and subcontractors, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and quality.
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Support company leadership by setting and achieving departmental goals, mentoring staff, and participating in leadership development initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, regulatory compliance, and quality requirements across all shifts.
What You Bring
7+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of production scheduling, planning tools, and ERP systemsDemonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive performance and team engagementExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProven experience in and ability to lead the following functionsManaging and executing construction projects from initiation through completionCoordinating project schedules and logistics to ensure timely deliveryEnforcing process compliance and maintaining high standards of quality controlOverseeing financial aspects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost trackingPreparing and maintaining accurate project documentation through closeoutFacilitating effective communication with clients and cross-functional teamsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software (e.g., Excel, SAP, or similar)High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferredWhat Sets You Apart :
Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong preference for HVAC, temperature controls or mechanical systems.Demonstrated leadership experience managing field teams and subcontractors on complex projects.Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management or related field (or equivalent experience).PMP Certification is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of estimating, scheduling, BIM coordination, and HVAC mechanical / control systems.What We Offer :
