Job Description
We are looking for a Public Health Program Coordinator to support the daily operations and administration of two of Indiana's USDA-funded food programs. This position will be full-time contract and remote.
What You'll Do
Manage USDA's Web-Based Supply Chain Management (WBSCM) system and Access databases
Monitor food outlets and distribution sites and complete audit reports
Analyze grantee and vendor activities for compliance and performance
Develop and disseminate program policies and procedures
Coordinate training with local agencies and volunteers
Provide technical assistance and act as the primary consultant to participating agencies
Track USDA Foods inventory and manage transfers, losses, and overages
Evaluate and implement program modifications
Submit accurate timesheets and support Program Manager as needed
What You'll Need
Required : Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience in federal / state compliance, grant management, or inventory systems Knowledge of USDA food programs and local agriculture Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills. Ability to interpret technical and financial materials Capacity to work independently and travel statewide (~30% of time) Valid Indiana driver's license Preferred : Experience with USDA's WBSCM system Background in public health or nutrition program coordination
Physical Demands Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc. Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor Lifting up to 40 lbs. and traveling in varied weather conditions

$35.40 The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and / or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
