POSITION SUMMARY
This position will function as a key part of the team, helping the management team, the front line for incoming calls and guests at the front desk, as well as providing assistance to the Client Services and Education Team. The duties may include but will not be limited to, front desk support, Client Services and Education support, copying, data entry, filing, collating / binding, answering the phone, mailings, meeting coordination and setup, and client interaction. All duties and tasks will be assigned / approved by the direct supervisor.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Work as a team with the other Administrative Assistants to provide a pleasant and unique environment for clients, visitors and staff in the office including answering the phone and covering the general front desk responsibilities as directed by the VP of Client Services and Education.
- Help and support as requested by CU
- Answers Officers and the Management Team; primarily working with Client Services and Education.
- Work with direct supervisor on all primary responsibilities; provide backup to other Administrative Assistants as requested.
- Work with the facilities team to provide backup for general office maintenance and delivery responsibilities.
- Complete various Client Services & Education team tasks as assigned by VP of Client Services & Education.
- Maintain and present a positive atmosphere and attitude as a member of the CU
- Answers team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals and evolving business needs.
JOB qualifications
High School graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience is required. Equivalent work experience equal to 1-2 years of prior office experience with a focus in administration or customer service.One to three years' administrative experience is preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Superior typing, telephone and basic clerical skills required.Excellent organizational skillsAbility to effectively handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Ability to take initiative and work independently.Ability to maintain and present a positive and happy attitude.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to deal with external clients as well as internal staff.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential data.Ability to work effectively with other CUAnswers teams.Ability to operate telephone, photocopier, fax machines and PC workstation.Regular and predictable attendance.Embrace and adhere to the company mission and the seven cooperative principles of a cooperative.
