Adecco is hiring immediately for a Logistics Specialist in Southfield, Michigan. This is a full-time, onsite position offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM, with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour. As a Logistics Specialist, you will play a key role in providing logistics support through order entry, routing and dispatching, and traffic coordination, ensuring the smooth flow of shipments and timely deliveries.

Daily Duties

Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders into the Freight Optimizer system. Update account managers on problem loads and communicate actions taken; notify receivers and customers of load statuses. Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries to verify that loads have arrived on time and in good condition. Take check calls from drivers, confirming that loads will deliver on time; validate all load data prior to marking loads as delivered for accounting purposes. Investigate product overages, shortages, and damages; complete appropriate documentation. Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments as needed; accept or decline loads based on direction from account managers. Provide detailed routing instructions and guidance to drivers.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications : 2+ years of administrative logistics experience. General knowledge of the transportation industry. Preferred Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent. Experience writing routine reports and correspondence. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
