As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will interact with the public and staff, delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor. Pay Rate : $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Mon 01 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Tue 01 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Wed 01 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Thur 01 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Fri 01 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.

Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and / or unusual occurrences as required by site protocols.

Interact professionally with visitors, staff, and / or members of the public while upholding site-specific policies.

Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies regarding armed posts.

What We're Looking For :

Availability across various days and shifts

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.

Handcuffing certification is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
