First Class Pipe Welder
ATSS has a client in Mobile, AL that will be in need of Pipe Welders.
The following is required of all levels :
- The ability to understand directions and follow instructions.
- Cuts, fits, and welds pipe for marine piping systems.
- Personally, signs QA documents for pipe joint fit up and weld requirements.
- Personally, signs for completeness of work in work packages.
- Torch cuts pipe clean and true
- Welds pipe without leaks in positions with minimal clearance
- Determines job sites, particularly those involving combustible material, are safe for personnel and, when required, hot work
- Creates and maintains a work site that is compliant with safety and quality regulations and policies.
- Read and interpret weld symbols or blueprints, schematics, and job specifications
- Working knowledge of the use and limitations of 6011, 6010, and 7018 (Stick Welding) and / or sil-braze rods
- Must complete a practical exam that includes the administrative functions.
- May be assigned to work any shift.
