EMI Services is excited to announce an opportunity for a Carpenter / Maintenance Mechanic to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, the individual will be responsible for carrying out a variety of maintenance and repair tasks on equipment, specifically as they relate to the skilled trades. The selected candidate will not only focus on repairing machinery and mechanical equipment but will also engage in essential carpenter duties, showcasing a diverse skill set. The position necessitates a well-rounded background in training and hands-on experience to tackle a broad spectrum of maintenance challenges effectively. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, possesses problem-solving abilities, and is committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all tasks undertaken.

Salary

$50.32 / hr. plus employer paid health benefits and pension!

Key Responsibilities

• Examine machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose source of trouble
• Dismantle or partly dismantle machines and perform repairs
• Replace broken or defective parts
• Prepare written specifications for major repairs
• Reassemble machines and make all necessary adjustment for operation
• Perform carpenter duties to include but not limited to framing and finish work, painting, staining etc.
• Design , construct, install and repair wooden fixtures such as cabinets, furniture, shelving, doors, plaques and other custom wood products
• Performs other related duties as assigned
