Auditor Supervisor
Houston Public Works (FMS Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)) seeks an Auditor Supervisor (PG-25) to supervise a small team of auditors and lead in-house audit and ERM review activities. The role plans and conducts audits, develops procedures and standards, trains staff on auditing policies, prepares internal audit reports / responses, and coordinates with management to implement audit procedures and objectives. The position may coordinate with external auditors and performs special projects.
Key duties (supervisor-level, not manager-level) :
Working conditions : position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking standing, etc. There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature, and air conditions. This is a Department of Houston Public Works Emergency Management position at the Tier III Level.
Minimum requirements :
Educational requirements : Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field such as Finance, with a minimum of 18 hours in accounting.
Experience requirements : Six (6) years of professional accounting / auditing experience are required.
