As a Commercial Sales Manager, you will play a key role in presenting our customers with a consultative, relationship-focused approach that helps their food service businesses thrive. This position will reside in Grand Rapids.

This role requires significant thought leadership and people leadership.

Responsibilities

Leading People

  • Hire, develop, and retain staff, creating robust succession plans and developing the next generation of leaders.
  • Identify goals and objectives, provide regular and candid feedback through evaluations or coaching sessions.

    • Developing Business Plans

  • Develop sales targets for individual sales representatives.
  • Understand areas of customer focus, including sales building, staffing, profitability, and compliance.

    • Engage with the Industry

  • Visit key existing and future customers.

    • Learning Opportunities

  • Lead following the Servant Leadership model / framework.
  • Participate in food shows, regional customer events, customer segment shows, and customer trips to headquarters to maintain visibility with customers, segments, or associations.

    • Position Requirements

  • Four or more years of previous sales or business experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data, including profitability models.
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours.
