Role Description : Huitt-Zollars, Inc, has full-time opportunity for a Civil Engineer / Project Manager for our Phoenix office with at least 8 years' experience and will be a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Arizona. This full-time role requires a talented, creative, and connected person who can manage projects from start to finish and help grow the Public Works initiative. This position will work in close collaboration with the Public Works Vice President to continue to expand our public works and infrastructure group, manage projects and civil engineers, and develop new opportunities. Duties include but are not limited to initial project research, plan production and management of plan production staff and plan processing.

Education : Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)

Duties :

• Function as a Lead Civil Engineer
• Prepare preliminary engineering reports
• Research jurisdictional requirements for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings
• Prepare of proposal / contract and of project work plans and schedule
• Use of design software such as WaterCAD, SewerCAD, HEC-RAS and FLO-2D
• Prepare design and construction drawings using AutoCAD and information obtained from research activities
• Coordinate client management and marketing efforts for future work
• Prepare GIS exhibits using ArcGIS
• Conduct site visits and documents findings
• Work directly with clients and directing a staff with varied levels of experience and expertise
• Attend, record, and distribute meeting minutes and assist with general project correspondence
• Writes or prepares graphic materials for presentations or documents
• Lead a team of engineers and drafters
