Masters degree or higher in applied behavior analysis psychology special education or a related field.

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification strongly preferred. Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) or other professional with demonstrable adequate skills and talents necessary for the program will be considered.
• The chosen candidate will be required to become a CPI trainer. This training will be funded by the district.
• Knowledge of principles ethics and applied behavior analysis techniques positive behavior support and evidence-based interventions.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges.
• Experience working with students in a public school setting or similar educational environment is desirable.
• Experience teaching or training adult learners.
• Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum and educational materials.

Job Summary :

Joplin Schools and Franklin Technology Center Adult Education is launching a new Behavior Technician Certificate Program for adult learners. The Instructor will design the curriculum teach foundational behavioral principles and intervention techniques conduct CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training and provide field-based supervision to ensure hands-on experience. This role also includes working within Joplin Schools intensive programs to support staff and students with behavior planning implementation and data collection requiring close collaboration with principals and district leadership.
