Attorney - civil litigation (defense required)

Our medical malpractice defense firm is currently interviewing attorneys. Ideal attorneys, minimum 2-4 years of civil litigation experience (defense). Billable hour requirement : 1950 hours per year / 162.5 per month

Our associates' responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Ethically, responsibly, and autonomously handling the day-to-day operations of their cases with little to no supervision and bringing anything relevant to the partner's attention
• Keeping track of deadlines (answer deadline, discovery deadlines, etc.)
• Drafting same (answers, discovery responses, productions, etc.)
• Overseeing nurse, paralegal, and secretary staff to ensure tasks are delegated and instructions are clear
• Covering depositions and writing reports for same
• Telephone calls with expert witnesses
• Assisting nurses and paralegals as needed to organize and prepare which materials need to go to the experts (involves analysis of medical records)
• Trial preparation
• Attend trial
