Build precision that changes lives
Picture your day starting at a clean, temperature-controlled workstation. You review setup sheets and prints, load material, and bring a Star CNC Swiss lathe to life. You dial in offsets, perform tool changes, and check first-piece dimensions with micrometers, calipers, and an optical comparator. Throughout the shift, you log inspections, maintain traceability, and keep to 5S standards—collaborating with engineering and quality to fine-tune process capability. At the end of the day, you leave knowing the implants you produced meet exacting medical device tolerances.
Role Highlights
- Set up, run, and troubleshoot Star CNC Swiss lathes to manufacture precision medical implants.
- Make offset corrections, replace tooling, and adjust parameters to hold tight tolerances reliably.
- Interpret blueprints, setup documentation, and work instructions to meet customer specs.
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and optical comparators; verify GD&T callouts.
- Complete daily and routine preventive maintenance to keep equipment in peak condition.
- Document production activity : first-piece inspection logs, maintenance records, and work orders.
