Investment Banking Analyst, Leveraged Lending

Investment Banking Associate

Supports the execution of Investment Banking or Capital Markets mandates within a defined product set. Assists Associates and Senior Associates with the administrative duties associated with the structuring, originating, and executing of transactions by preparing various documents and tracking internal and external communication throughout a deal life cycle.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Support Associates and Senior Associates with the administrative duties associated with the generation, development, and execution of capital advisory solutions.
• Create deal or transaction materials such as term sheets, engagement letters, models, flow of funds, Refinitiv Reporting for review by Associates.
• Maintain an excellent working knowledge of the overall economy and market conditions.
• Prepare deal materials (CIMs, LP, pitches, internal approval memos) to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and content.
• Provide data and supporting process documentation for the development and enhancement of policies and procedures and ensure all activities conducted comply with bank Credit and Risk requirements.
• Act as a primary contact for the supporting teams in the Investment Bank Middle Office.
• Drive recruiting efforts of Interns and subsequent Analyst classes.
• Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities : Supports a defined product set with progressing valuation skills, including modeling. Has a working knowledge of lending and credit, as well as investment banking (0-3 years). The position requires introductory interaction with clients and referral sources-external (prospective customers) and internal (various Bank personnel) contacts to perform responsibilities.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $87,073.45 - $145,122.42 Annual (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
