We have immediate openings for RNs to work in various capacities within school settings, including general school nursing / health office, one-on-one care for special needs students, and providing healthcare support during school trips.\n\nAs a School Registered Nurse (RN) in Queens, you will play a vital role in providing health services to students.\n\nCURRENT OPENINGS for Registered Nurses Include : \n

• Provide direct one on one nursing care in school for special needs students.\n
• Provide direct one on one nursing care on a school bus.\n

• NYC Sick Time\n\nResponsibilities : \n\nFor Health Office Nurse : \n
• Provide direct nursing care to students and staff who visit the health office for various health concerns, including minor injuries, illnesses, and medication administration.\n
• Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify health issues and provide appropriate interventions or referrals as needed.\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students, including immunization records, health history, and medication administration logs.\n
• Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and parents to develop and implement health policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy school environment.\n
• Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics, including nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.\n\nFor One-to-One Nurse : \n
• Provide one-on-one nursing care to students with special medical needs, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and addressing any health concerns or emergencies that may arise.\n
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with parents, healthcare providers, and school personnel to meet the unique needs of each student.\n
• Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on the student's health status and progress.\n
• Advocate for the student's health and educational needs within the school setting, ensuring that they have access to appropriate accommodations and support services.\n\nRN School Nurse Job Requirements : \n
• Registered Nurse in New York : You must hold a valid and active Registered Nurse license in the state of New York.\n
• Current BLS Certification : Possession of current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required to ensure readiness in emergency situations.\n
