The Team
The Technical Documentation team at Firebolt owns, develops and delivers content that our customers love and repeatedly reference and use while implementing Firebolt in their environments.
The Firebolt documentation team :
- Produces technical content in concert with product development and the deliverables of all customer-facing teams.
- Develops tools and systems for efficient content delivery, reuse, and measurement.
- Enriches the content ecosystem by providing guidance and support that enables other technical content producers.
- Uses qualitative and quantitative measurement to analyze and continuously improve content effectiveness.
The Role
As a Documentation Manager at Firebolt you’ll drive content development projects, coordinating efforts across multiple stakeholders, content delivery channels, and content contributors so that our customers see a clear path to developing and implementing their data analytics solutions using Firebolt.
What you’ll do
- Partner with Product Managers, Engineering leadership, Content Strategists, Solution Architects, Marketing, Developer Evangelists, and other stakeholders to identify requirements to deliver technical content that supports strategic business initiatives.
- Lead projects to deliver technical content in multiple, complementary channels and formats, presenting regular updates to senior management.
- Identify opportunities to curate technical content from internal contributors and from the ecosystem of partners and customers.
- Use a data driven approach to identify the effectiveness of technical content and contribute to the development of technical content strategy.
- Leverage Artificial Intelligence to help standardize content delivery across various content producers while stipulating quicker time-to-content delivery without compromising content quality and accuracy.
- 5+ years of experience as a managing editor or content-focused program / project manager in a highly technical environment.
- 3+ years experience producing digital content in an enterprise setting.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses or other data-centric cloud services.
- Experience working with data to measure content effectiveness.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- BA / BS degree in technical communication or computer science, or equivalent work experience
- Experience working with community contributions in an open source environment is a plus
