Environmental, Health & Safety Consultant- Hygiene

Position Overview :

High Environmental Health & Safety Consulting Ltd., an affiliate of High Real Estate Group LLC and one of the High® companies, provides a full complement of environmental health and safety (EHS) services and products to businesses and institutions throughout the United States. We are based in Pennsylvania, but we have provided services everywhere from California to Puerto Rico and most locations in between. Position Summary :

This position supports High EH&S clients by assisting with the assessment of Indoor Air Quality and Health Exposure Evaluations in a wide range of business sectors (industrial, energy, commercial, healthcare, construction) including residential. You will be responsible for performing industrial hygiene surveys to measure chemical, biological and physical hazards (noise, ergonomic, non-ionizing radiation).

Job Responsibilities :

• This position can develop over time to have more responsibility. You will perform on-site field monitoring of workers during their workday at various worksites to evaluate for exposures to various health risks using dosimeters, sampling equipment and other devices.
• You will develop written reports outlining your findings and recommendations. You may perform qualitative / quantitative respiratory fit-testing and provide safety-health based training to workers.
• You may also help with inspection activities and other project work which may include developing written policy or procedures.
• Most travel is local to Lancaster, PA (within 15 minutes to 2 hours) by car, but is daily. Some overnights may be required from time to time (likely not more than 1-4 days in a month) and occasional longer travel may be needed (train / flight) (1-4x a year).
• Some days are long (10+ hours), but there is some flexibility of schedule and countering shorter days.
