About the Role :
We are excited to invite you to apply for the Mainframe System Programmer and Hardware Configuration position. In this role, you will play a crucial role in configuring mainframe hardware equipment during new client migrations and serving as a key point of contact for hardware-related issues.
- Configure mainframe hardware equipment such as HCD and IOCP.
- Provide support for existing mainframe systems, ensuring functionality through break / fix measures and upgrades.
- Assess client systems for migration into Ensono data centers.
- Collaborate with network teams to determine the necessary IPs and ports for hardware devices and LPARs.
- Work with data center hardware teams to identify grid locations and power requirements for installations.
- Document all hardware and LPAR cabling, including associated IPs.
Your Qualifications :
A minimum of 3 years experience in a z / OS environment supporting Tape, DASD, CPU, and other mainframe hardware.Experience in creating HCD and IOCP for zOS, zVM, and zVSE in complex, multi-data center environments.Ability to support hardware upgrades and migrations for multiple clients.Familiarity with Z Series HMC and support elements.Strong analytical and problem-resolution skills.Working knowledge of network connectivity requirements for mainframe setups.Capable of mentoring junior team members and collaborating with various stakeholders.Understanding of data encryption and disaster recovery configurations on mainframes.Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Visio, and MS Project.At Ensono, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
