JOB DESCRIPTION

In coordination with the Senior Manager - Finance, take part in the preparation of, consolidating and reporting out the annual Budget and quarterly Forecasts for Contract Logistics DP World Americas.

Help administer the formal process within the BPC consolidation system by setting up packages, running consolidations, and coordinating with other teams on timing.

  • Review and critique the financial data of each business units’ budget. This is a 3-month process which requires the review of all units’ budgets, applying business knowledge along with high level of analytical thinking to ensure quality results in a timely accurate manner and make sense from a business perspective.
  • Prepare consolidated and ad-hoc reports that are easy for senior management to analyze the budget information.
  • Assist in preparing analysis used to develop region-wide budget assumptions.
  • Prepare Flash and EPBCS data loads for the Contract Logistics DP World Americas portfolio on a monthly basis. Prepare and maintain monthly regional reporting for internal analysis.
  • Consolidate and prepare Contract Logistics DP World Americas Mid-month forecast.
  • Co-ordinate with business units on quarterly financial forecast and prepare various analytical reports that are different from monthly reports.
  • Support operational finance needs by performing shared service functions as they arise.
  • Support regional financial reporting and analytical needs as they arise.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Ensure all data required for the monthly flash report is accurately reported. This process requires coordination with the units to ensure timely information has been received;

this report has become an important early indication of the regions monthly results.

  • Ensure monthly results are communicated to senior leadership in a digestible manner so they can understand and adapt to our changing business.
  • Work closely with business units responsible for to obtain full analysis of all activities. Requires knowledge of businesses to allow accurate, meaningful, and timely analysis and formulate reasons for all variances to facilitate senior regional decision-making process.
  • Obtain understanding in how to use EPBCS (Oracle Fusion Reporting Software) and BPC (SAP based Consolidation and Reporting Software) as these systems will drive the financial reporting data flow monthly actuals, reforecast, and budget planning.
  • Prepare and liaise with all Contract Logistics operational finance management to consolidate the Mid-month forecast.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Accounting or Finance related degree
  • Knowledge or ability to learn Oracle Fusion, specifically EPBCS.
  • Knowledge or ability to learn BPC.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable working with senior leadership team
  • Able to work with colleagues with different languages, backgrounds, and personalities, needs to have excellent communication skills
  • 2+ years of accounting and reporting experience, or
  • 2+ years of budget and forecast experience
  • Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards is an asset
