Payroll Manager - Hospitality Industry (Confidential Company)
Los Angeles, CA - Onsite | Full-Time | $95,000-$115,000 DOE
We're seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee end-to-end payroll operations for a dynamic hospitality organization known for delivering exceptional guest and employee experiences. This role plays a vital part in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across multi-state payroll functions.
What You'll Do
- Manage and process biweekly or semi-monthly payroll for both exempt and nonexempt employees.
- Oversee timekeeping, wage adjustments, garnishments, and payroll reporting.
- Ensure all payroll transactions comply with state and federal regulations.
- Partner with HR and Accounting to streamline processes, audit data, and reconcile payroll accounts.
- Lead year-end activities including W-2 distribution, tax filings, and audit support.
- Evaluate payroll systems and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Provide guidance to management and employees on payroll policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
What We're Looking For
5+ years of payroll experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of CA labor laws, multi-state payroll, and wage & hour compliance.Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, etc.).High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a solutions-driven mindset.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys process ownership, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values being part of a company that truly invests in its people.
