Job Title : Production Associate

Job Description

As a Production Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our products. You will be responsible for accurately measuring and scaling ingredients according to the mixing schedule, labeling them properly, and following batch sheets to mix ingredients precisely. Your efforts will contribute to maintaining the standard of quality our customers expect.

Responsibilities

• Accurately measure and scale ingredients according to the mixing schedule and formula.
• Properly label all scaled ingredients with date, name of ingredient, weight, and batch number.
• Follow batch sheets to accurately mix ingredients.
• Ensure the quality of the product meets company standards.
• Transport scheduled ingredients to designated storage areas.
• Mix non-complex mixtures as needed and ensure chronological usage of ingredients.
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Monitor equipment and ensure its proper functioning.
• Order necessary ingredients from Shipping / Receiving as per the day's schedule.
• Follow instructions from a tablet and maintain a clean and safe work area by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Work Environment

The facility is climate-controlled, maintaining temperatures between 45 to 65 degrees, and is FDA regulated. The current team consists of around 50-75 people. The headquarters is located in Reading, PA. The production facility in Greenville specializes in cookies, brownies, and scones, and is expanding its line to include increased volumes of brownies. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with varying start times and shifts that may last between 9 to 12 hours. Specific lines start at different times, including mixing lines at 5 : 00 AM and 6 : 00 AM, scale lines at 5 : 30 AM and 6 : 30 AM, and wrap operator lines for cookies and brownies at 6 : 45 AM and 7 : 30 AM, respectively.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenville, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.16 - $18.16 / hr.
