Front Office Coordinator Therapy Services PRN

Job Summary : The Therapy Services Front Desk Coordinator is responsible for scheduling physical, occupational and speech therapy services for current and new patients. The Front Desk Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the daily clinic schedule is efficiently managed in cooperation with the clinical leadership team. They will ensure that all business office functions within the therapy services clinic are completed accurately and timely. They will maintain patient care records in accordance with HIPAA and local organizational rules and standards. They will complete daily administration tasks including scheduling, filing, copying and communication, both verbal and electronic. They will work effectively as part of the clinic multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities :

• ? Demonstrates a strong customer service and professional attitude.
• ? Demonstrates the ability to work effectively as part of a larger team.
• ? Registers and schedules patients for therapy services.
• ? Maintains daily referrals to ensure patients are scheduled in a timely manner.
• ? Maintains insurance authorizations per organization requirements and processes.
• ? Collects payments via credit card / check / cash and follows payment collections and posting processes.
• ? Has knowledge of medical billing and insurance practices at a level suitable for their role.
• ? Manages patient notifications and alerts efficiently and timely.
• ? Scans paperwork into multiple EMR systems.
• ? Maintain patient care records in accordance with HIPAA and local organizational rules and standards.
• ? Communicates and coordinates with the central business office team.
• ? Reviews schedule daily with clinical leadership for efficiency and optimization.
• ? Communicates professionally and effectively in person, via electronic messaging platforms, and via email.
• ? Manages cancellations and rescheduling requests efficiently and timely.
• ? Must be able to prioritize workload and multitask as required.
• ? All other duties as assigned
