Surgical Care Specialist

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and care of pre-operative patients, maintaining aseptic techniques, and providing comfort and support.

Key Responsibilities :

Maintains sterile field, passes instruments, and sutures to the physician

Establishes and maintains preference cards, ensuring they are kept up to date and as complete as possible

Cares for patients, cooperates with team members, and adheres to policies and procedures

Demonstrates clinical expertise in surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment, and monitors and controls the surgical environment

Requirements :

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Surgical Technology program or LVN / LPN program completion required

2+ years experience preferred

BLS certification required

Certified Surgical Technologist within 180 days of graduation or LVN / LPN License required
