The Director of Quality & Risk Management, is responsible for the work process of the Quality and Risk Management Department and the implementation of the Hospital-wide Quality Assessment Performance Improvement Program. Provides leadership and consultative services to departments and services within the organization in achieving regulatory, accreditation, and organization compliance in quality and in performance management and improvement activities. Incorporates risk management principles into evaluation of incident reports, concerns and takes formal actions to resolve or report practices to the appropriate channels.
Responsibilities will include Collaboration with Hospital Administration to plan, organize, direct and lead the Hospital-wide Quality Assessment Improvement (QAPI) Program. The Director shall have demonstrated experience with quality management principles and the application of system design, reengineering, project management, quality improvement, outcomes measurement and statistical analysis. The Director is responsible for the personnel and work process of the Quality and Risk Management Department, meeting the regulatory requirements for the collection and reporting of required internal and external quality outcomes data. Will utilize strong interpersonal and professional communications including education skills with hospital staff, physicians and will be able to speak to enhancing quality of care and safety for patients and staff.
Requires Bachelors Degree in Nursing; prefer Master's Degree in Nursing or Related Field. Prefer three years minimum supervisorial experience in quality improvement or related position. Prefer previous experience and successful participation in regulatory survey process, including CMS, CDPH, JCAHO or other accrediting agency.
