Position Summary

The Controller will serve as a key financial leader responsible for overseeing NavSav's accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. This individual will play a pivotal role in scaling the company's accounting infrastructure to support rapid growth and ongoing acquisition activity. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical accounting expertise with a hands-on leadership style, operational discipline, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger, AP / AR, payroll, and consolidations across multiple legal entities.
• Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare for and coordinate external audits, tax filings, and regulatory examinations.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, driving efficiency and consistency across acquired entities.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and agency commission processes to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
• Partner with the CFO and M&A; team to evaluate, onboard, and integrate newly acquired agencies.
• Standardize accounting processes across acquired entities, ensuring seamless migration to
• NavSav's centralized systems (e.g., NetSuite, Applied EPIC, Comulate).
• Support due diligence, purchase accounting, and post-acquisition financial assessments.
• Develop and implement systems, reporting tools, and processes to enhance visibility into business performance and cash flow.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, HR, Technology, and Operations to align financial practices and reporting standards across the organization.
• Identify and lead automation and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a small but high-performing accounting team while serving as a 'player-coach' who is hands-on and deeply engaged in the work.
• Set clear expectations, uphold the highest standards of performance, and foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and excellence.
• Partner with the CFO to define the long-term vision for the accounting function and build out future leadership capacity.
