DESCRIPTION OF ROLE :
Under the general supervision of the Security & Accounts Management Manager, this position is part of the Security & Accounts Management team. It is responsible for provisioning and de-provisioning access to DOC networks, resources, and applications. This position maintains a high level of security by following all DOC and enterprise security policies and procedures.
The position requires strong interpersonal skills, multitasking abilities, time management, and the ability to execute projects and solve complex problems. Technical support responsibilities require expertise in multiple platforms, operating systems, and various security software systems.
This position complies with the Department's administrative rules and the agency's policies and procedures, including those related to the Department's overall Reentry philosophy of using evidence-based strategies, practices, and programs targeting an offender's individual criminogenic needs and risk level.
Key Responsibilities :
Account Management 50%
Coordinate account provisioning, de-provisioning, and maintenance across DOC platforms and applications.
Utilize security rules to grant / revoke access to applications, servers, group folders, etc.
Coordinate account management team activities to ensure timely customer service.
Create and maintain security rules that enforce compliance with DOC security policies.
Handle account-related projects and requests.
Create email accounts, distribution lists, and group mailboxes.
Educate users on account-related security procedures and offerings.
Identify customer problem areas that require training.
Coordinate with other agencies as needed.
Update and maintain procedural documentation.
Troubleshoot access issues and resolve requests in a timely manner.
Participate in integration planning and testing.
Collaborate with project teams to determine access needs for users and systems.
Policy & Security Standards 15%
Assist in implementing IT security policies, standards, and procedures.
Support department-wide security awareness programs.
Act as liaison to resolve inter-agency security issues.
Recommend automation and standardization improvements.
Support audits (LAB, DOJ) with required documentation.
Help maintain and improve cybersecurity policies.
Monitoring & Risk Mitigation 15%
Monitor, audit, and analyze security systems.
Provide recommendations for implementing and maintaining effective security.
Identify potential access threats due to new software or systems.
Perform access audits and recommend security improvements.
Work with leadership to mitigate organizational risk.
Other Job Duties 10%
Participate in performance improvement efforts.
Audit user access to ensure correct provisioning.
Attend training, conferences, and events as directed.
Support employee development and career path planning.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Technical Services Support 10%
Support internal systems security (WICS, DEVSECOPS, email systems).
Conduct EMR access audits and manage EMR security rights.
