Position Summary

Walmart is transforming the future of pharmacy fulfillment through its Central Fill Pharmacy Network. We are seeking a visionary Director of Engineering to lead the design, development, and optimization of automated pharmacy fulfillment centers across the country. This role will be instrumental in scaling our capabilities, improving patient outcomes, and driving operational excellence through innovative engineering solutions.

What you'll do

• Lead the engineering strategy and execution for Walmart's Central Fill Pharmacy Network, including automation, robotics, and systems integration.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, product, and technology teams to deliver scalable, efficient, and compliant pharmacy fulfillment solutions.
• Partner with key stakeholders on capital projects, and facility design to ensure alignment with business goals and regulatory standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, accuracy, safety, and cost efficiency.
• Enhance patient access to medications through faster, more reliable fulfillment.
• Reduce costs and improve margins through automation and process innovation.
• Support strategic growth in the Central Fill Network.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations while maintaining operational excellence.

The Central Fill Pharmacy Network team is a cross-functional group of experts in engineering, operations, analytics, automation and innovation. Together, we design and operate high-throughput pharmacy fulfillment centers that serve millions of patients across the country. Our mission is to deliver medications safely, quickly, and cost-effectively—leveraging automation, data, and innovation to transform the future of pharmacy care. Salary and benefits : The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Other compensation for certain positions may also include stock.
