Primary Purpose
Work with a peer group to lead the Entertainment Creative Show Operations Team in developing shows & events from inception to completion, while overseeing daily operations.
Oversee all components of the production process including concept development, production coordination, talent acquisition (employee & contract), budget administration (capital, expense, & labor), training, coaching & development, and quality assurance while maintaining the overall excellence of shows and events.

- Provide creative vision and leadership for the show production process.
- Establish, prepare, monitor, and maintain budgets for shows & events (capital, expense & labor)
- Manage & lead teams in internal & external ambassador auditioning, staffing, casting, on-boarding, training, rehearsing, casting sign-offs, scheduling, and coaching & developing for shows & events.
- Manage & lead teams in operating, maintaining, and archiving shows & events
- Ensure policies, procedures, and operational documents are developed, maintained, implemented, and updated for shows & events.
- Review performances for excellence; ensure safe, consistent, efficient, and quality performances while striving for continuous improvement by providing constant tangible and effective feedback.
- Evaluate and make timely and necessary modifications to shows & events based on research and consumer feedback.
- Review completed stage manager reports for accuracy and conformance and take appropriate action on issues that need to be addressed.
- Ensure daily maintenance of show & event venues; ensure inspections and technical service tickets are being addressed in a timely manner.
- Oversee safety and health management of performers and show staff for shows & events and consistently practice safe work habits;
ensure ambassador injury reports are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure show and event recap meetings are conducted to assist with future development and modifications.
- Ensure offices, shops, venues (including onstage, backstage and technical booths), storage buildings / areas, and support closets are cleaned, organized and maintained.
- Work in tandem with other Entertainment Managers in the department, as well as external partners, to ensure the success of all duties & responsibilities.
- Model the Company culture and ensure that product aligns with marketing initiatives and the overall strategic direction of the Company.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
What it takes to succeed :
- Must have (2) two years in a leadership role; experience to include leadership and development of ambassadors and financial responsibility for a business unit or area.
- Must have (2) two years prior experience within entertainment field; especially within production and operation.
- Prior theme park experience, preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Theatre or related discipline, preferred.
- Demonstrates initiative, communication, and organizational & interpersonal skills related to vision of shows & events.
- Confident and outgoing presence with the ability to professionally interact with various levels of internal and external partners.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects with a detailed-oriented style and strict deadlines.
- Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft software products. Knowledge of SEA systems (SAP, ParkWare, TMM, Workday, etc.), preferred.
- Must have a working knowledge of the English language with excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include, weekends, weekdays, overnights, evenings, and holidays. Ability to travel, if needed.
- Must be willing to comply with and ensure ambassadors comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
- Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines.
What else is important :
- Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb / ascend heights, if needed
- Perform the following physical activities : kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist / waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools / keyboard / writing)
- Be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold / heat temperature extremes
- Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
- Work a flexible schedule / hour based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Be flexible in work locations as the placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities
