We're hiring a data-driven accountant for an integral position on our team. You’ll keep our general ledger up-to-date, ensure the accuracy of our financial information, and use QuickBooks for tracking. Candidates should be experienced problem-solvers, well-organized, detail-oriented, and time-efficient. Responsibilities :
- Process payroll to provide payment to employees on time
- Complete bookkeeping duties : Data entry and record maintenance
- Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial statements
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct daybook, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger
- Consistently input daily financial transactions and finalize the posting process
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
- Process payroll and ensure accurate recording of employee compensation
- Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payment of invoices
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
- Assist with the implementation and monitoring of internal controls in compliance with SOX regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data for reporting purposes
- Conduct financial analysis for work centers, identify cost trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during annual audits Qualifications :
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Must exhibit exemplary problem-solving, communication, and time management skills
- Experience with Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems
- Must have 2 or more years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a management accountant, bookkeeper, cost accountant or similar
- Must know Cost Accounting
- At least 3-5 years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a cost accountant, management accountant, or bookkeeper
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required Compensation : $70,000 per year
