Payroll & HRIS Specialist

Job Summary

Responsible for the execution of the staff, faculty and student payroll and serves as the HRIS administrator. This is a critical role on the Office of People and Culture team at Bethel. We are in the midst of a HRIS implementation to Rippling which will bring revolutionary change to how we get work done at Bethel. The ideal candidate will be a self starter and problem solver who is energized by serving others and finding solutions to complex problems. This is a great team to be a part of!

Starting salary for this position is $55,000 to $65,000, based on experience.

Responsibilities

Payroll – 40%

• Responsible for the execution of full cycle bi-monthly payroll for 600-800 employees and 500 students.
• Assists with staff and faculty employment records.
• Creates earnings and deduction codes and ensures time and attendance records are accurately imported into payroll.

HRIS - 40%

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop and / or laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

Expected Hours of Work :

Typically, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with the expectation to work specific schedules and hours as identified and communicated by management. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This is a 40 hour per week, 12 months per year position.
