JOB TITLE : Area Director

DEPARTMENT : Programs.

REPORTS TO : Chief Programs Officer.

Supervises : Program managers, team leaders, and staff in assigned area.

SALARY : $60,000 (plus benefits after the first 90 days), Full-time, Exempt.

ABOUT LOVELAND : Established in 1962, Loveland Center is a nonprofit that provides vital life skills development programs for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I / DD) spanning Manatee to Charlotte County. Through its programming, participants are able to realize their full potential and build the necessary skills to live their lives to the fullest.

SUMMARY : The Area Director provides leadership, oversight, and direction for their assigned Loveland Center Region for residential programs, day programs, and support services. They take ownership of the center’s budgets, programs, and community relationships; building pathways for inclusion in the greater community, and continuously moving the center forward in providing the best services and supports for the I / DD community. Area Directors are expected to grow Loveland Center programs in their Region, listen to their communities about their needs, and work with their team to provide the highest quality programs for the participants they serve as possible.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with at least two (2) years’ experience working in an educational, health care, or related fields and at least one (1) year working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • Experience will substitute year for year for educational experience.
  • Must have a driver’s license and access to a reliable motor vehicle.
  • Experience running and creating residential sites for adults with disabilities.
  • Experience running and creating day programs for adults with disabilities.

  • Knowledge of, or ability to master, Therap, DonorPerfect, Google Suite, and other needed computer programs.
